CAAP Joins Cebu Pacific - Airworks Aviation Cadet Pilot Program Batch 1 Commencement

Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the nation’s aviation sector as it joined the commencement ceremony of the Cebu Pacific Cadet Pilot Program – Batch 1 on 10 December 2025.

CAAP Director General Retired Lt. Gen. Raul Del Rosario highlighted ongoing initiatives to modernize aviation systems, enhance regulations, and invest in advanced training and technology—efforts aimed at preparing the industry for future growth.

The milestone event celebrated the first batch of cadets trained under the Cebu Pacific Cadet Pilot Program in partnership with Airworks Aviation Academy, a flying school based in Mactan, Cebu. Airworks provides full-spectrum flight training, from ground school to advanced flight operations.

To date, the program has recruited five batches from across the Philippines, all undergoing rigorous training designed to prepare them for airline operations. Upon completing the program, these cadets are set to join Cebu Pacific Air as First Officer.

Batch 1 marks a major step in developing homegrown pilots and building a strong talent pipeline for the Philippine aviation industry. With the combined support of CAAP, Cebu Pacific, and Airworks Aviation Academy, the future of local aviation remains strong and promising.
