From Aircraft Technician to Airline Pilot — A Story of Grit, Growth, and Gratitude

From the hangar floor to the flight deck, Enrico Torres' aviation journey began not in the cockpit, but on the ground. As an Avionics Technician at Aplus, he spent years around airplanes, holding on to the dream of one day flying them.

Balancing night shifts, flight training, and financial hurdles, Enrico pushed through sleepless nights and countless sacrifices with the unwavering support of his family, colleagues, and mentors at Airworks Aviation Academy.

Through the Airworks–Cebu Pacific Trainee First Officer Program, his dream finally took flight. Now a First Officer at Cebu Pacific, Enrico carries with him the same discipline and precision he learned from his maintenance day, always by the book, always with teamwork.

His message to aspiring pilots:“Never give up. It’s hard and costly, but not impossible. Stay humble, work hard, and your time will come.”
